Make the lemonade - Squeeze the juice of four fresh lemons or until you get a full cup of lemon juice. Add the lemon juice to the simple syrup in a pitcher or juice jar. Next, add two cups of cold water, give or take, to reach the desired taste.
Add crushed ice to each person's glass.
Drop blueberries on top of the ice.
Use a spoon to muddle and crush the blueberries against the ice and the side of the glass. Keep mixing until the berries release some juice. Keep the pulp in the glass.
Add more ice if desired. Pour lemonade on top and enjoy!

Blueberry Lemonade Tips:
I find that the lemonade tastes most delicious and stays freshest if you muddle the blueberries on demand. Avoid mixing up a whole pitcher with the crushed blueberries unless you plan to drink it all that same day.
You can easily adjust the amount of blueberries to your liking or simply swap for another kind of fruit! Try this blueberry lemonade recipe with raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, or other flavors your family loves!
